Machine learning cheat sheet for newbies!

The title of this article says it all. The cheat sheet provided below is designed primarily to aid beginner to intermediate data scientists or analysts who are new and have little experience in implementing machine learning techniques.

Choosing a machine learning algorithm to apply to a data set is obviously the most popular question when we are first exposed to a data set. Facing a wide variety of machine learning algorithms sometimes makes us so confused in choosing the best algorithm for the data. The answer to this lies on many factors, including:

- The size, quality, and nature of data

- The computational time and the power of your machine

- What question you want to answer from the data

- Time constraint and complexity of the technique

It is true that even an experienced data scientist cannot tell which algorithm has the best performance before applying different algorithms to the problem. Therefore, this cheat sheet will give a shortcut to find an appropriate machine learning technique for your problem.
